About
A small studio, built to ship things that hold up.
PressHangar is an independent WordPress studio — no venture funding, no growth targets to hit, just a habit of building things that work and keeping them that way.
The studio
PressHangar is run by a single developer based in Japan, building for the entire WordPress world. The name comes from the idea of a hangar: a home base where a small fleet of focused tools gets built, maintained, and sent out one at a time rather than rushed to market in a batch.
The first product out of the hangar, DripPilot, started as a personal fix for a real problem — a backlog of drafts that needed to go out reliably without looking like a content farm. It's built the way everything here is built: tested on a live WordPress site before it ships, kept lightweight on purpose, and maintained for the long run rather than abandoned after launch.
Being based in Japan isn't a limitation on who this is for. PressHangar ships in English first, with a genuine Japanese localization alongside it, because good software shouldn't have to pick one audience.
How things get built here
Real environments, not demos
Every release runs against an actual WordPress install — real cron behavior, real hosting quirks — before it ever reaches a changelog.
Security isn't optional
Nonces, capability checks, sanitized input, escaped output. It's table stakes here, not a feature to advertise.
Small on purpose
A plugin that does one job well beats one that does five jobs adequately. If a feature doesn't clearly earn its place, it stays out.
